Bormed TechDay – for data driven healthcare product development

On June 1st 2021 the Borealis Healthcare technical and R&D team joined by the external speaker Inovigate discussed in a virtual setting key pharma and medical trends including sustainability, their implications and how building ecosystems as engagement platforms can help Pharma and MedTech OEMs and CDMOs in the early phases of their developments.

At the core of the event, Borealis shared the comprehensive data generated for selected Bormed grades on top of typical product data sheet measurements to help and support design and development engineers in their projects. Almost 90% of the participants in the event’s polls confirmed that technical data together with extractable and biocompatibility information is crucial at early phases of their developments.

Giving healthcare design engineers access to such data and reports is at the heart of our Bormed service package together with change management, reliability of supply and constant quality. A confirmation for the high engagement and interest in such data-driven support by Borealis was shown by almost 200 attendees throughout the 3-hour virtual forum and live Q&A with more than 80 questions.

As a continuation of this successful technical forum and taking into account the feedback of the audience (see poll results), the Borealis Healthcare team is considering organising a follow up event on the topic of Sterilisation or Regulatory deep dive in MDR and upcoming IVDR. In addition, a follow up session on “Environmentally sustainable solutions for Healthcare” will be organised beginning of December in the form of a webinar.
